Important: These pages are intended as practical beta legal documents for SkinMorph. They should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before broad public launch, paid plans, mobile app launch, or major public Gallery promotion.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how SkinMorph Studio LLC d/b/a SkinMorph may collect, use, store, process, and share information when you use SkinMorph, including the website, app, editor, local projects, cloud projects, Gallery, profiles, uploads, remix features, exports, and related services.
SkinMorph is currently in beta. Data practices may evolve as features change, especially before paid plans, mobile apps, analytics, or broader public Gallery promotion.
2. Information We May Collect
Depending on how you use SkinMorph, we may collect or process:
- Account information: email address, username, profile information, authentication identifiers, and login-related information.
- User content: uploaded images, artwork, tattoo designs, project files, model/project data, thumbnails, preview images, exports, Gallery posts, remix files, titles, descriptions, and profile content.
- Body and identifiable image data: uploaded images may include body photos, tattoo placement photos, face/body references, tattoos, skin tone, body shape, clothing, or other identifiable visual information if you choose to upload that content.
- Local app data: browser-stored projects, image library items, recent sessions, settings, preferences, and cached data.
- Cloud and Gallery data: cloud-saved projects, public Gallery submissions, public profile information, reactions, reports, moderation data, and remix permissions.
- Support and reports: messages, deletion requests, rights complaints, bug reports, screenshots, and other information you send to SkinMorph.
- Technical data: device type, browser type, approximate usage events, error logs, IP-related or security-related information, and information needed to operate and secure the app.
- Payment data: if paid plans are added, payment-related information may be processed by payment providers. SkinMorph does not need to store full card numbers directly.
Do not upload images of another person unless you have permission. Do not upload sensitive personal information, private body images, medical information, identification documents, or content you would not want processed by SkinMorph or its service providers.
3. Browser and Local Storage
SkinMorph may store projects, image library items, settings, recovery data, recent sessions, cached cloud projects, and other local app data in your browser. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, changing browsers/devices, or browser storage limits may delete or affect local SkinMorph data.
Local browser projects may not be available to SkinMorph support unless you export or send them.
4. How We Use Information
SkinMorph may use information to:
- provide the editor, project saves, image tools, Gallery, profiles, remix, exports, and account features;
- store, sync, cache, preview, moderate, and recover projects and uploads;
- respond to support requests, deletion requests, reports, and rights complaints;
- improve performance, reliability, safety, and usability;
- prevent abuse, spam, fraud, security incidents, and violations of SkinMorph rules;
- process payments if paid features launch;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce SkinMorph policies.
5. AI and Automated Processing
Some SkinMorph features may use automated or AI-assisted tools, including background removal, image cleanup, moderation, or other image-processing features. Content submitted to those features may be processed by SkinMorph or by third-party service providers used to provide the feature.
Automated or AI-assisted results may be imperfect. Users are responsible for reviewing outputs before saving, exporting, posting, tattooing, or sharing them.
AI or automated processing does not confirm that you own an image, have permission to use it, or have rights to post or remix it. Do not upload sensitive personal information or content you do not want processed by SkinMorph or its service providers.
7. Public Gallery, Profiles, and Remix
If you post to Gallery or create public profile content, that content may be visible to other users and may be copied, viewed, opened, remixed, reported, indexed inside SkinMorph, or displayed in SkinMorph discovery features.
If you enable remix, the editable .skinmorph file may be accessible to other users under the permissions you select. Do not make content public or remixable unless you are comfortable with that visibility and have the necessary rights.
Deleting a Gallery post, disabling remix, or deleting your account may not automatically delete copies, exports, screenshots, cached versions, backups, or remixed projects already created by other users. SkinMorph may remove or restrict related content where appropriate after a valid rights complaint or policy review.
8. Retention
SkinMorph may retain information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain accounts, keep projects available, handle reports, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, maintain backups, resolve disputes, and keep legitimate business records.
Deleted data may remain temporarily in backups, logs, caches, or security systems before it is fully removed.
9. Security
SkinMorph uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. However, no internet service, browser storage system, cloud database, or file storage system is completely secure. You use SkinMorph at your own risk and should keep backups of important projects.
10. Data and Account Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of account data, cloud projects, Gallery posts, profile content, or other SkinMorph data by contacting legal@skinmorph.studio.
Some information may be retained if needed for security, legal compliance, dispute handling, abuse prevention, backups, or legitimate business records. Local browser data may need to be deleted from your own browser/device.
Deletion requests may not remove content already exported, screenshotted, downloaded, cached, backed up, or remixed by other users, but SkinMorph may review related content when appropriate.
11. Children and Minors
SkinMorph is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 18, use SkinMorph only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
SkinMorph may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will show when the page was last revised. Continued use of SkinMorph after changes means you accept the updated policy.
